Friday, The 13th

I am not supersticious. Friday the 13th, so freakin’ what? However, in elementary school, there was this girl, Nena, who was scared to death not only of Friday the 13th, but also every 13th of the month. Maybe it was because she was one of the worst students in the class, so she needed an excuse for failing? Either way, my friend Sofija has an exam today. It was supposed to be yesterday, but they postponed it. I know that we’re at the university and that everything is supposed to be serious and mature…but knowing our professors, they did it on purpose, to try to freak out as many people as possible. Not a nice joke, methinks.

I would like to thank everyone who commented on my previous entry. You were so nice, so supportive and it was wonderful to read such comments even from people who don’t know me, such as Despair commenters and those who stumbled upon my site. And, thinking about all that, I also figured out that the certain guy might’ve been frighten by the fact that I know much more than he knows. If so, it wouldn’t be the first time it happened. Here in Serbia web design, e-commerce and similar things sort of exploded in 2005 when the main telecommunications company let go of its monopoly and allowed minor ISPs to offer ADSL, wireless and cable connections to people. Can’t imagine what kind of a war this will be once those connections are actually affordable by each single regular mortal the way dial-up is. Designers will be jumping over each other to get a work opportunity…ohwell, guess I need to learn how to resist….in “the way the Eastpak bag stays on a skeleton” way.

Either way, thought I’d reveal a little obsession here. Virtual Villagers! That game is sooo addictive. Some people say that it reminds them of The Sims, but since I am not a gamer and I never played that one anyway, no matter how famous it is, I can’t really make a comparison there, sorry. All I know is that this game is, well, tricky and that cheating or experimenting isn’t a good idea…why?

…because it ends like this:
Sad ending
And, it should definitely be like this:
Party!

So, I’d advice everyone to try your luck with Virtual Villagers. 4 of my tribes starved to death, but the 5th tribe survived, I solved all the 16 puzzles and bought all the tech…and now I basically have to wait for someone to die of old age so there could be more babies, as the population is limited to 90 villagers.

P.S. Very special plugs for Claudia because she found me the commenter plugger script and for Nozomi, because I spy the certain most wonderful person on the planet on her layout. Oh yes, and also Rika, because this is, if I’m not wrong, her…fifth domen since we met? So…..Rika, Rika, Rika, Rika, Rika!!!:p

  1. Is it rude that I giggled when I saw the skeletons on the first screenshot? Not because I’d think there’s anything funny with not successing, but the skeletons just look… hilarious. :o

Oh and um. I counted sixth domain? Maybe we met during ghostranch-hills and not motorcycle-emptiness? Thank you nevertheless for the super-pimping 8)

ps. using a lot of smileys D:

  2. I consider Friday the 13th a lucky day, for some reason. Nothing ever bad has happened on it, yet.

I played that game, I mean, the demo. One of my villagers opened a fruit box and died. But the skeletons are funny. My hour ran out before I could actually do any of the puzzles.

  3. hehe that’s mean from your professors, but also kinda funny.
the game looks cool,I’ll maybe try it.

  4. Friday the 13th has never really freaked me out all that much. Although.. this friday the thirteenth was actually in October just shortly before Halloween. So.. who knows. lol. We got a new kitten on the 12th and my roomate said that we should have waited until the 13th because it would have just been more entertaining to say what day we got the cat on. haha.

I’ve thought about playing that game. The only time that I really play a lot of games though is at work because we are never buisy and you have to download the game. So ya.. i dont know yet. I could secretly download the game and maybe nobody would notice. haha.

Big plugs for Rika. I dont even know her .. but wow.. her 5th domain!! Thats both amazing and crazy at the same time. lol. I’m on my 2nd person site domain but thats because my host is retarded and made it so I wouldn’t be able to renew my old domain. But o well.. what are you going to do?? Everytime I first get a domain I seem to find another one that I like better. Haha.. and then i’m stuck with the stupid one that I really picked. O well.. llife goes on I guess.

Anyway.. you have an awesome site! I love the layout and all of the content is great. Keep in touch and i’ll leave you another contact. Keep an eye out though… i’m considering stealing you layout.. haha. j/k

  5. I know I should probably be commenting this on IM. Or maybe not, I’m just telling you from one fan to another.

Have you seen these? John Fru interview from 1994 and him singing “Tiny Dancer” in 1989? The interview’s really sad cause he’s like…dead-looking.

  6. Indeed I have seen them. The first one is from the PinkPop 1990 DVD (the person who wrote 1989 was wrong) and the second one is the Vpro 1994 interview. if you need downloadable versions, just shout or reply to my email:)
